Experienced mentor and coach in providing capacity building support to sub-grantees to manage awards and grants.
Before joining UHB, Zikaneni was working with World Education Inc. as Senior Finance Manager where he was charged to plan, design and co-ordinate the implementation of sound accounting and financial management and control systems and procedures for all operational areas and to facilitate the maintenance of accurate and up to date financial and accounting records for effective and smooth running of all WEI business operations to enable decision-making under changing environmental circumstances. .In his other past experiences, Zikaneni has driven best practices in financial management which enabled maximization of efficiency and growth as a Finance Manager at RTI Malawi. For 2 years worked under the Malawi Early Grade Reading Improvement Activity (MERIT) – US$78m (USAID Contract). He was responsible for submission of monthly accounting reports including trial balances, balance sheets, P&L statements to RTI Home Office. Reviewed and approved balance sheet reconciliations. Zinaneni holds Master of Business Administration (MBA: understudy) – ESAMI, Certified Public Accountant (CPA)- Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants ACCA – Malawi College of Accountancy and a Diploma in Accountancy – Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM).
